2013 Itinerary - *subject to change
Saturday, November 23
Arrival in New York City. All participants and spectators must attend an orientation meeting between 11:00am and 6:30pm. Meetings are held every half hour starting at 11:00am. Hotel registration begins at 3:00pm, but please note, hotel rooms are not guaranteed until 7:00pm. Our Staff escorts participants to local restaurants for dinner. At 7:00pm meet your assigned Staff Chaperone followed by rehearsal.
Sunday, November 24
Participants start the morning off with a coupon breakfast prior to departure to rehearsal. Enjoy lunch in Times Square followed by a fabulous Broadway Show. Dinner in Times Square then return to the hotel for evening rehearsal. Participants will be with their Staff Chaperone all day, and MAY NOT leave the group at any time to be with family or friends.
Monday, November 25
Begin the day with breakfast followed by Statue of Liberty Harbor Cruise. Experience the New York City Subway for the first time. Eat lunch with your Staff Chaperone and shop in Times Square. Dinner followed by performance rehearsal for Macy’s and NBC in Herald Square. Tonight you’ll feel like a “movie star” on a movie set! Return to the hotel for rehearsal.
Tuesday, November 26
Today you may be checked-out to a parent, director, family member or friend 21 years of age or older (if they are listed on your visitation form) for the entire day. Otherwise you will travel with your Staff Chaperone for today's activities. Attend Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular! Take a tour of the Empire State Building and explore the famous stores on 5th Avenue. Visit St. Patrick's Cathedral or ice skate at Rockefeller Center. Participants may elect to spend the day with family or friends on this day. This night is a great night to take in an extra Broadway Show if you are checked-out. If no family or friends will be in New York, participants will be with their Staff Chaperone.
Wednesday, November 27
Begin the day with breakfast then entertain your parents with your premier performance in the Grand Ballroom. Experience the NYC subway to Macy’s for an afternoon of shopping, then return to Times Square for dinner. This afternoon Participants may be checked-out to a parent, coach/director, family member or friend 21 years of age or older (if they are listed on your visitation form). This night is a great night to take in an extra Broadway Show if you are checked-out. If no family or friends will be in New York, participants will be with their Staff Chaperone.
Thursday, November 28
Happy Thanksgiving! An early morning wake-up call for breakfast at 5:00am followed by a quick rehearsal before your subway ride to the line-of-march. The 87th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade® begins at 9:00am EST and ends at 12:00 noon...and you’re one of the featured “stars”! After lunch rest in your room then enjoy dinner prior to the Event Wrap-Up in the Grand Ballroom. This afternoon and/or evening you may be checked-out to a parent, director, family member or friend 21 years of age or older (if they are listed on your visitation form) allowing you to enjoy a Thanksgiving Day meal together. If no family or friends will be in New York, participants will be with their Staff Chaperone.
Friday, November 29
Today breakfast is on your own. Hotel check out is no later than 11:00am. Arrive home.
